Co-occurrence and comorbidity

Welcome to this edition’s Abstract watch. With co-occurrence/comorbidity being the norm in neurodevelopmental disorders, we look at Karalunas et al’s research into the cognitive similarities and differences between ASD and ADHD. Bauer et al explore the risk of suicide in young people with ADHD and highlight the role impaired working memory plays in this. Edvinsson et al did an interesting long-term (six years) study on outcomes for adults with ADHD. We finish with Reimherr et al’s study on ADHD and Anxiety where the subgrouping of inattentive and emotional dysregulation presentations are proposed.
